Banu İnanç Uyan Dur is a visual communication designer specialized in Information Design and Data Visualization. She is currently Assoc. Prof. and head of Visual Communication Design Department at FMV Işık University, Istanbul, Turkey.
She graduated from Gazi University, Faculty of Education, Depart. of Fine Arts Teaching in 2002. She received her MA (2006) and PhD in Art (2011) from Hacettepe University Department of Graphic Design.
She has received national/international graphic design awards about poster design and information design. She exhibited in 5 solo exhibitions and participated in over 50 international biennials, expos, exhibitions and design events. Her poster designs and exlibrises are preserved in museums and collections. She studied at Akademia Sztuk Pieknych w Katowicach as a visiting researcher (5 months) through the research scholarship from the Poland Government. Her articles are published in national & international journals, papers are presented in symposiums.
