ARTISTS

Özden Pektaş Turgut studied Graphic Design at Eskişehir Anadolu University Faculty of Fine Arts. She got Master of Fine Arts (2004) & Proficiency in Art (2009) degrees from Hacettepe University Institute of Social Sciences, Graphic Design Department. Started her academic career as a Research Assistant in same university (2003 -2005). Worked in Gazi University Faculty of Fine Arts, Visual Communication Design Department as an Instructor (2005 - 2009), Assist. Professor (2010 - 2013) and Associate Professor (2014 - 2016). She gave lessons in Hoogeschool Gent, Royal Academy of Arts in Belgium in 2007 and also worked as a part-time faculty member (2011 - 2013) in Northern Cyprus Near East University Faculty of Communication Visual Communication Design Dept. Since 2016 giving courses both in undergraduate & graduate levels as an Associate Professor in Hacettepe University Graphic Design Department. Organized 8 solo exhibitions and participated in more than 80 group exhibitions in domestic&abroad, papers presented&printed in journals, gave seminars - workshops in symposiums and conferences. During 2018 Fall semester, she worked on scientific/artistic studies as a guest lecturer at Porto Escola Superior de Artes e Design (ESAD). Directed workshops and gave seminars at the universities in Belgium, India, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, USA and Portugal. She is giving lectures and have studies in the field of electronic publishing design, interactive design, web design, typography & calligraphy, exlibris.
