He was born in Değirmendere , Kocaeli. He graduated from Yıldız Technical University - Mechanical Engineering Faculty in 1979. During his student years, he worked on painting, graphic arts and fine writing. When he decided to take calligraphy education, he took drawing and graphic art lessons from Remzi Oğuz Yılmaz and watercolor lessons from Işıl Özışık. He met with academic calligraphy in Caligrapher Erhan Olcay’s class .At the end of the basic education , his works were awarded with distinction level certificates by the international calligraphic association CLAS in England. He entered in logo and graphic design contests and group exhibitions. He participated in calligraphy workshops of famous Irish artist Denis Brown, Belgian calligraphy artist Yves Leterme and Sunderland University design Professor Ewan Clayton and Professor Hasip Pektaş’s linocut and exlibris workshops.
He continues his works in the projects team of Erhan Olcay at the Istanbul Kucukcekmece Traditional Arts Academy.
